Hey guys! I just wanted to pop on here today to show you this pretty, shimmery golden I look I created today. I am always a huge fan of gold eye shadows and am always on a never-ending quest to find different, beautiful gold shadows. Today's gold comes from the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette and the light golden shimmer on the inner corner is a Makeup Geek pigment. Gold is a universally flattering shade, that looks amazing on any and every eye color and skin tone- it just enhances any eye shade and brings life and a glow to your skin. Gold is also a color that, no matter the season, always works year round. Today's eye look uses a light golden shade with gold glitters in the inner corner of the eyes, then fades into a light/medium shimmery gold with a slightly neutral undertone. Then I used a mix of very warm, orange-y browns in the crease, outer corner, and lower lash line. The fun pop to this look is the gold glitter eyeliner in the inner corner of the lower lash line. This look is a fun twist on a neutral golden eye and is absolutely perfect for an Autumn day or night.
How To: EYES
-Apply your favorite primer all over lids, up to the brow bone and under the lower lash line. Then apply a light golden cream shadow to the lid, keeping under the crease, to act as your base.
-On a large fluffy blending brush, apply a light matte orange shade into your upper crease to act as your transition shade. Then highlight your brow bone with a matte cream shadow.
-On a damp brush take Makeup Geek's "New Year's Eve" pigment and apply it into the inner 1/3 of the eyes. If you don't have this pigment just use any light golden shade with gold glitters or shimmers in it.
-Next, take "Strike" from the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette and apply it to the rest of the lid, leaving the very outer corner blank
-Take a medium matte orange-brown shade and blend it into your crease, keeping it just below your transition shade. The crease of this look is all about layering and blending shades to create a very warm, very blown out look.
-Take a deep orange-brown shadow and blend it into the crease and outer corner of the eye. Make sure you are blending all the crease shades so there are no harsh lines.
-Blend a very small amount of a very light matte taupe shade around the outer edges of the look just to blend things out and make things slightly less intense.
-On the lower lash line, run the medium matte brown from inner to outer corner. Then apply just a little bit of the darkest brown right into the very outer corner of the eye.
-Now for the star of the look, apply a gold glitter liner into the inner corner of the lower lash line. You could also apply a regular gold glitter if you want to.
-Highlight around the tear ducts with a golden champagne shadow.
-Line your upper lash line with a liquid liner, keeping the line very thin and creating a small wing at the outer corner. Rim your eyes with a brown liner and add lots of mascara to the upper and lower lashes to finish off the look.

How To: FACE
-Apply your favorite light coverage BB, CC, or tinted moisturizer all over your face. Since the eyes are slightly more dramatic and this was a day look for me I wanted to keep the skin simple and light.
-Blend a fuller coverage concealer underneath the eyes to cover any dark circles, then apply on any blemishes or discoloration.
-Set everything with a powder foundation to mattify the skin and add some extra coverage.
-Bronze the skin with your favorite matte bronzer.
-Then add a peach toned blush to the backs of the cheekbones and highlight your face with a golden highlighter. I used the new Urban Decay one, which I'm still not loving at all.
-Spritz your face with a makeup setting spray to take down the powdery finish and make your makeup last all day.
That gold is so pretty. It looks so great on you. It's just stunning. Thank you so much for such a detailed post. I am so glad you shared. (◕‿◕✿)
