Hello all my beautiful makeup junkies, I am so excited to share today's look with ya'll! Since purchasing the UD Electric palette, I've been so inspired to push the boundaries with my makeup- doing super bright looks and pairing together colors I normally wouldn't. Today I knew I really wanted to do a bright purple and green eye look, then midway through the look I decided to throw in some bright blue liner on my lid and on my waterline. This is not a look that most people would wear on a day-to-day basis, but it is a really fun look that would be perfect for a night out, a concert/festival, or for my daring babes out there, this very well may be a look you would rock everyday and that's awesome! Now since the eyes are so bright and crazy, I kept everything else pretty neutral. I really focused on getting my skin as flawless looking as possible (which is always a good idea if you're doing bright eyes) and just used some bronzer and highlighter to sculpt my face. I defined my brows slightly with a pencil, just filling in my sparse areas and added a nude lipstick to my lips to finish the look off. I'm super happy with how this look came together, and it really made me realize that you don't know how colors are going to look paired together unless you play around and see what works for you. I really hope ya'll like this look, and if you have any questions or requests feel free to leave them below and just keep on reading to find out how to get this look!
How To: EYES
-Apply your favorite eye primer all over your lids and underneath the lower lash line. Apply a white or nude base to your lids as well, to really help those bright shadows stick and stay vibrant. You can also apply a piece of tape to your outer corner to create a sharp edge, or just use a makeup wipe or remover to clean it up after you're done.
-Apply a matte cream shadow under your brow to highlight. I used my face powder, since the UD palette doesn't come with a shade like this in it and I didn't really feel like reaching for a seperate shadow.
-From the Electric palette, take "Jilted" very lightly on a fluffy brush and blend it into your crease. This will act as your blending/transition shade, however since these shades are super pigmented you want to start off with a small amount of product and build up your intensity.
-Take a small amount of "Savage" and blend out the edges of your previous color.
-Taking "Poison Plum" from Sugarpill on a crease brush, blend the shadow into the crease, making sure to keep it right under the previous shades.
-Apply your white base to the lids only, staying under the crease. This will not only act as the base for your lid color, but it will help you clean up any shadow that might have fallen onto the lid.
-Taking "Thrash" from the Electric palette, apply it all over your lid from inner to outer corner, making sure to bring the color right up to the crease.
-On a small blending brush, take "Urban" and blend it into your socket line and outer "V" to create some more definition. You want to blend this shade into the other shadows in your crease.
-Line your upper lash line with a bright blue liquid liner, then set it with the shade "Chaos" from the palette.
-Tightline your eyes with a black kohl pencil, then line your bottom waterlines with a blue eyeliner and set it with the "Chaos" shadow. You could also use a white liner and set it with the shadow to get the same look.
-Lower Lash Line: Apply "Jilted" to the inner 1/2 of your lower lash line, then run "Urban" the rest of the way, then blend it all out with "Poison Plum".
-Apply "Lumi" loose shadow from Sugarpill around your tear ducts, bringing it into the inner corners of your upper and lower lash line, as well. "Lumi" is a gorgeous translucent loose shadow, with a teal and green duo-chrome to it.
-Curl your lashes and apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes, then apply a pair of false lashes to add some more drama to the look.
-Fill in your brows like you normally do. With a bright look like this you want to have your brows defined, but not too harsh or over drawn.
