(MAC promo pic)
Hello gorgeous makeup junkies! I have been waiting for month's, since MAC released the first promo pic, for their Playland collection to be released. I decided to pick up only two lipsticks from the collection, because I already owned most of the pigments and the rest of the collection was things I didn't need or wouldn't use. So I ended up picking up "Sweet Experience" and "Happy-Go-Lucky", the 2 really pink shades from the collection. I have to say I am super happy with both lipsticks, they are super opaque, creamy, and applies really beautifully; but if I could go back I probably would have bought one of the other shades instead of Happy-Go-Lucky and that's only because it's near identical to "Candy Yum Yum" without the matte finish. Other than that I am really happy with both lipsticks and glad to have them in my collection!
MAC "Happy-Go-Lucky" Lipstick
^MAC describes this lipstick as a hot pink and it has an amplified finish, which means that it is a creamy, more moisturizing finish and opaque coverage. I found that this shade applied smoothly to my lips, didn't settle into any lines, nor did I have any bleeding. I really love how bright, but creamy this lipstick is and like I said other than it looking like "Candy Yum Yum" I'm super happy with it. It's for that reason though, that I think so many people will love this lipstick. I always get told that "CYY" is too matte and too drying for a lot of people, so this is a perfect option for those of you who want that super hot pink but need a more moisturizing finish.
MAC "Sweet Experience" Lipstick
-MAC describes this lipstick as a bright pink, but I find it's more of a pastel bright pink with the slightest touch of peachy pink. This lipstick has an amplified finish, as well. I found this lipstick to be creamy and slightly moisturizing, but I would recommend exfoliating your lips well before applying since this is a lighter color it does show any deep lines or rough skin. Other than that, this color is absolutely gorgeous and seriously may be my new favorite MAC lipstick (although it will be hard to top Ruby Woo), but only time will tell! =)
-These lipsticks are both sold out on maccosmetics.com as of now, but nordstrom had it for back order still and MAC counters will have them for sale on April 24.
What did you guys pick up from this collection, or what are you planning to pick up?
