My thoughts: I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with these pigments. There is a wide array of shades ranging from your everyday neutral shadows, to your fun bright shades that liven up any eye look. I feel like everyone will be able to find their perfect color. The pigmentation of these pigments are awesome and actually are some of the very best I have tried from the drugstore and actually do compare to some of the more expensive pigments I have as well. Their are a couple different finishes to these pigments. Some have a pretty metallic finish, some have fine shimmer running through them, and a couple have more pronounced glitters in them. However, I feel like they all apply beautifully to the lid and last for a long time.

How I apply: First off, I always use a primer and/or a base underneath the pigments. I feel like using something underneath helps them stick to the eye and creates a smaller amount of fallout, it also helps the pigments to keep their color all day without fading. I own every Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadow and there is pretty much a cream shadow for almost every pigment, except for a few so I like to try and match them together at times to help enhance the color payoff. If you're applying the pigments dry they can give the eyes a soft wash of color or can be built up with a couple layers to give full on color. My preferred method of applying these, when using on the lid, is to apply them with a wet brush. I generally just use water or sometimes setting spray on the brush and then I tap some pigment into the lid and press my brush into and pat onto the eyelid. Applying it this way gives you the most intense, vibrant color payoff and really lets all the shimmers and sparkles show through.

Packaging: Each Color Tattoo pigment comes packaged in a small pot, which you twist open. The best part of the packaging is the fact that is has a sifter on the pot, which was my main complaint with the Makeup Geek pigments. The sifter allows you to be able to tap out your desired amount of shadow without it spilling all over the place, it also helps keep the pot cleaner and helps you not waste your product.

Swatches:

Black Mystery, Brash Blue, Barely Brazen (Dry)
(Wet)

Buff & Tuff, Downtown Brown, Forest Fatale (dry)
(Wet)

Improper Copper, Wild Gold, Pink Rebel (dry)
(Wet)

Never Fade Jade, Potent Purple, Breaking Bronze (dry)
(wet)

Final Thoughts: I would say that if you have been thinking about purchasing some, or if you're like me-ALL, of these pigments go for it. I do not think you would be disappointed with these at all. My favorite shades are Improper Copper, Breaking Bronze, Barely Brazen, and Brash Blue and my least favorite is Potent Purple. The purple shade is the one pigment I would say to not buy, because out of all the shadows this one had the worst pigmentation and even used wet it just is not a unique shade. I have been having so much fun playing around with all these pigments and definitely have some fun looks coming up in the future featuring them.

I will link some looks I have posted using these pigments:

I really hope you guys like this review and if you have any questions feel free to message me. Have a great weekend!
