FOTD: Lunch and Shopping with my Fiancee

Hey guys! I just wanted to post about the makeup look I wore yesterday to go out to lunch and shopping with my fiancee. I was in sort of a rush to get ready yesterday, so I knew I didn't want to do anything super crazy. However, if you know me this is almost as natural as my makeup gets, I mean what can I say I love makeup. So I decided I would do a pretty natural eye look with fun winged liner and false lashes, a natural face and bold red lips completed this look perfectly.

I used a shimmery light, neutral gold shade on the lids with some matte brown in the crease and on the lower lashline and a touch of a champagne-gold in the tear ducts to further brighten the eyes. For the eye liner I just tightlined my entire eye with a long-wear black pencil and lined the eyelid with a black liquid liner winging it out on the ends. I did my liner slightly thicker and longer than I normally do, which I have to say I really loved. The lashes I used were the "116" from Salon Perfect and they just made my lashes look so long and flirty, which made my eyes look super large and awake. I definitely reccomend these lashes and am going to pick up a couple more packs, so that I have them for my birthday parties this weekend.

As for the face, I started out by applying MAC's Studio Fix Fluid in NC15, but I felt like it was way too cake-y looking on my face so I immediately wiped it off and applied the Garnier BB cream in the combo to oily skin version. I have to say that this is my absolute favorite face product that I have found in a looong time. It just applies effortlessly and makes your skin look AMAZING. It has pretty great coverage for a "drugstore" BB cream, yet still looks so much like your natural skin, it's truly an amazing product. I went on to conceal my dark circles (which are horrendous right now) and the few blemishes I have going on and then lightly set everything with some powder. Now when using the BB cream, you don't have to use a powder because it doesn't set rather nicely, but in the Louisiana heat and humidity I would be absolutely crazy to go outside without setting my foundation first or else it will all be a huge streaky mess, which let's be honest it super unattractive. I lightly contoured and bronzed my face and applied a natural, rosey blush to the apples of my cheeks, blending back into the bronzer. I also used a natural-looking highlight powder to the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and cupid's bow to just enhance my features further. I filled in my brows using a pencil, but kept them very natural looking and set them with a bit of tinted brow gel. To finish this look I just applied a red balm-stain to my lips. I feel like this look is very pin-up inspired, which is just overall a classic, beautiful look. My hair was just slept in curls from the day before, which I just finger fluffed and was done with it.

Well everyone I really hope you liked this post. I've been trying to keep up with posting every day to every other day even though I haven't been feeling well. The doctor figured out that I don't have mono, but I did have a virus. I also have another doctor appointment tomorrow, because I'm pretty sure I have a pinched nerve in my neck. The pain has been so bad that at times I can't hardly hold my head up. I've also been experiencing numbness and pain in my head and arm as well. It's been very scary and just painful. I'm hoping they can figure out what's wrong and it's not anything bad, because I just want to get better. This has been so terrifying to have your head feel like that and not know what's going on. I'm trying to keep myself positive and just keep telling myself, "everything's going to be ok".

Anyway, enough with all that. I hope ya'll have a great day! xx
