Forest Fatale- A smokey eye look

Hey guys! So today's look is based around Maybelline's Color Tattoo Pure Pigment in 50 Forest Fatale. It seems lately everyone has been trying to convince me that I need to start wearing more green eyeshadows, because of my hair. I'm not normally a big fan of greens, but since purchasing this pigment the other day I have been itching to use it in a look.

I knew I wanted this to be a smokey look from the very beginning, but instead of doing your normal everyday smokey eye I decided to do a sandwich smokey eye. That basically means having a lighter shade sandwiched between a darker color on the inner and outer corners. I've always been a fan of how this looks and the fun dimension it gives the eye. So to start off I primed the lids and added a green base to the eyelid only. Then I added a matte light brown to the crease to help smooth out the transition to the brow highlight and also to help with blending in the future. I applied the Maybelline pigment all over the lid and then applied a dark shimmery green to the inner and outer corners, leaving that lighter green shadow peaking out in the center. I made sure to blend the edges where the shadows meet so that everything is absolutely seamless, then I also blended some of that dark green into the crease connecting the inner and outer corner. I then applied the dark green all along the lower lash line and applied just a touch of the lighter green right to the center. I applied black gel liner along the upper lash line and blended it out with a matte black shadow and then also applied that gel liner to the waterlines. I highlighted the tear ducts with a shimmery champagne color and applied lots of black mascara to the lashes.
