Sweet Experience - Smokey Eyes & Pink Lips

Happy Mother's Day makeup junkies! I wanted to share the look I wore yesterday. I've been having some health issues recently, so I haven't been wearing much makeup (if any at all). Yesterday I finally felt well enough to do something with my makeup, so I created an all matte smokey eye with a fun pop of glitter on the lid and added some baby pink lips. This makeup was not a planned look, I literally brought a bunch of products I hadn't used in a while into my room and just sat down and played which I haven't done in a while. I really love how everything ended up coming together, especially the eyes! I really hope you guys like this look, and don't forget to follow me on Instagram (talesofamakeupjunkie) to see more looks! If you want to learn how I got this look just keep reading!

How To: EYES
-Apply a piece of tape to your outer corners, to create a sharp edge. Then, apply your favorite eye primer/base all over the lid and lower lash line.
-Apply a matte cream shadow all over your entire lid, from your brow to lash line. This will act as your base color.
-Next, blend a matte peach shadow into your upper crease. This will help the darker shadows blend more seamlessly.
-Blend a light/medium warm brown shadow into the crease, staying right under the previous color. Then blend a slightly deeper matte brown into the crease, as well. I like to layer my shadows when creating a smokey eye, because I feel like you get a more dimensional and blended out effect. It also helps you build up the colors, so you don't immediately get the dark color everywhere.
-Blend a dark matte brown into your socket line, making sure to not blend it up to high into your crease. This color will be your marker for the matte black shadow you will be applying next, it will also help the black shadow to not be as harsh.
-On a small blending brush, blend a matte black shadow into your socket and outer corner. Take a clean blending brush and blend over the entire area to create a soft, blown out effect.
-Apply a glitter base all over the lid, then apply a pearl-colored glitter right on top.
-Using a black gel liner, line your upper lash line creating a wing at the outer edge. Then, using the matte black shadow, blend out that line to create a soft line. I wanted everything to be very soft and smokey, yet still strong.
-You also want to rim your eyes, and line your lower lash line with the black gel liner.
-Smudge out your lower lash line with the matte black shadow, then soften that line with one of your lighter brown shadows.
-Highlight around the tear duct with a light, shimmery champagne shadow.
-Curl your lashes and apply mascara to your top and bottom ones. Then, add a pair of falsies to add some extra drama!

-Apply a shimmery highlight powder to the top of your cheekbones and a little down the center of the face.
