Hey guys! Recently I purchased some new things from MAC and one of the things I bought was the beautiful Golden Olive pigment. I've been looking at this pigment for a long time, but could never make myself buy it because I don't really wear green eyeshadow very much. Finally during one of my late night shopping binges I somehow convinced myself that I needed this pigment in my life and I am SO happy I did. Golden Olive looks exactly like what the name says: it's a light/medium olive green with a gorgeous golden shimmer/sheen to it. I decided to pair this pigment with another new product of mine, the Makeup Geek eyeshadow in "Dirty Martini", which is a matte deep olive green. These two shades went perfectly together and are now a new favorite combo. I wanted to sex-ify this eye look, so I decided to keep to a more cat-eyed shape and I also added a pop of glitter right into the inner corner of the lower lash line. I also added a natural pair of falsies to add some length and drama to the eyes. Since the eyes were more dramatic, I kept the rest of the face more natural and glowing. I had used some peachy shadows in the crease of my eyes, so I kept with that theme and used peaches on my cheeks and lips. I was so happy with the end result of this look. I think this look would be beautiful to wear for Thanksgiving or any other holiday party you have. I can 100% guarantee that if you wear a look like this you will be getting loads of compliments all day and night! I plan on doing a couple more Thanksgiving looks for you guys over the next few days. I have a more natural look and a colorful smokey eye planned, so keep on the look out for that!
How To: EYES
-Apply primer all over your lids and underneath the lower lash line. Then apply a cream colored base to the lid as well. You can apply tape to the outer edge of the eyes to get a sharp edge or just use a makeup wipe to sharpen it up later.
-I mixed together a matte peach shadow and a matte medium peach/brown and blended it into the upper crease to act as the transition/blending shade.
-Highlight the brow bone with a matte cream shadow.
-Wet your brush and apply MAC's "Golden Olive" pigment all over the lid, leaving the very outside corner open.
-On a small blending brush, take a matte dark olive green shadow and apply it into the outer corner and into the crease of the eye. You want this color to wing up in the outer corner to create a more cat eye shape. You also want to run this color from inner to outer corner of the lower lash line.
-Apply glitter glue to the inner corner of the lower lash line, then apply a gold glitter right on top.
-Highlight around the inner tear ducts with a light golden champagne shadow to brighten the eyes.
-Line the upper lash line with a black gel liner, this will help camouflage the false lash band. You also want to rim your waterlines with the black gel liner, as well.
-Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes, then apply your false lashes. I always apply my mascara before I apply false lashes because I find it easier, but you can do it the other way if you like.

How To:
FACE
-Apply a moisturizing primer all over your face. You want your skin to look glowing, but if you have oily skin you can use your regular primer. You want to have a glow to your skin, not look greasy.
-With a damp sponge, bounce a full coverage foundation all over your face and blend down onto your neck.
-Apply a brightening concealer under your eyes and on any darkness you might have.
-Set everything with a natural finish powder.
-Apply bronzer to any place you want to contour. I applied it under my cheekbones, up onto the temples, under my jawbone, and a little on the sides of my nose.
-Next, apply a peach toned blush to the backs of your cheeks.
-Apply a shimmery highlighting powder to the tops of your cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and to the cupid's bow.
-Fill in your brows as normal.
-Apply a peach-y nude lipstick to finish off your look.
And now for a mini OOTD (outfit of the day). I just had to show this amazing sweater I recently got from Nasty Gal. I'm absolutely loving the harness on the back and how it shows off my shoulders. I paired it with some leather-like leggings and topped it off with a grey and black beanie from Target.
I really all of you like this look and I would also love to know what type of makeup you're planning on wearing for Thanksgiving.
This is such a fun look! Olives look amazing on you! And I love that you paired it with a nude peachy lip.
