Hi makeup junkies! So if you haven't heard by now, the official Pantone Color of the Year is "Radiant Orchid" and this color is literally popping up everywhere. So today I wanted to play around with this trendy color, but instead of doing it on the eyes, I decided to keep this bright color to the lips only. Then, I did a neutral gold eye, with winged liner and some shimmery lavender liner on the waterline. I kept the rest of the face very flawless, but not too heavy, so the lips and eyes could stand out. Now, the centerpiece of this look is of course the lip color, and I used Loreal's La Lacque in "Lacquer-ized". Now I know that this shade was limited edition; so if you don't have it, try Maybelline's Color Sensational Vivids in "Hot Plum" which is a very similar color. I really love looks like this, where you have your pop of color on the lips and neutral eyes. With these types of looks you can literally pair any lip color, with light or little eye makeup, and it totally gives you a pulled together, glamorous look in a short amount of time. I really hope ya'll like this look, and don't forget to leave me a comment if you have any requests or if you just want to say hi- I love to talk to ya'll!
How To: EYES
-Apply your favorite primer all over your lids and underneath the lower lash line. You can also apply tape to the outer edges of your eyes, or just use a makeup wipe like I did, to create a nice sharp edge to your eyes.
-Highlight under the brow with a matte cream shadow, then blend a matte light brown shadow into your upper crease to act as your blending/transition shade. I stuck to browns that had a neutral undertone to them, I didn't want them to be too warm or too cool.
-Take a slightly deeper matte brown and blend it into the crease, making sure to blend out the harsh edges and blend it into your transition shade. Blend this shadow under the lower lash line as well.
-Apply a sticky base or glitter adhesive to your lids, then apply a shimmery pale gold loose shadow (you can use a pressed eyeshadow instead). I really wanted the lid color to be very shimmery and bright. I also brought this shadow around the tear ducts as well.
-Take a deep matte brown shadow and blend it into your socket line and outer corner, making sure it blends into the other colors. Blend this shadow right under the lower lash line, blending it out into the other shadow you applied down there.
-Apply thick black liner to your upper lash line, winging it out at the upper edges.
-Tightline your eyes with a black kohl pencil, then apply a shimmery lavender eyeliner to your lower waterline to brighten the eyes and tie in the purple-toned lipstick. If you don't have a light purple eyeliner, you can always use a white liner and set it with a purple shadow.
-Apply mascara and false lashes to complete the eyes.

How-To: FACE
-Apply a pore perfecting primer to your face, this will create a smooth canvas and help your foundation go on easier and last longer.
-Fill in your brows like you normally would, keeping them slightly more natural.
-Using a damp sponge, apply a medium-full coverage foundation all over your face and down to your neck. If you don't want to use a heavy coverage foundation, by all means use what you prefer.
-Use concealer under your eyes and on any redness or imperfections you want to cover.
-Then, use a lighter highlighting concealer under the eyes and to the center of the face to brighten up your complexion.
-Set the light concealer with a light or translucent powder, then use a powder matching your foundation to set the rest of your face.
-Use a light matte bronzer and apply it to the outer edges of your face.
-Use a deeper matte bronzer to really sculpt out your cheekbones, temples, and jawline. Blend everything out with a clean brush so there are no harsh brown lines.
-Add a shimmery highlighting powder to the tops of your cheekbones and anywhere else you want a glow.
-For the lips, I just applied the lip color straight from the tube then blended it out with a lip brush. I then applied some of Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Genius waterproofing gel to make the lip color last all day and give it a more matte appearance.
Well guys I really hope you all liked this look. I was just so happy to be able to get some decent pictures today, we've been having some yucky rainy weather where I live and it has been super overcast. So finally the sun came out and I was able to do a little mini photoshoot lol. I've also been extremely ill lately, and am actually laying in bed typing this right now. I went to the doctor today and got a bunch of tests ran, so hopefully things will be better soon or at least more tolerable. Any who, leave any requests or comments you have below and I will talk to you all soon!
