Indian Summer: noun a period of mild, dry weather usually accompanied by a hazy atmosphere. Heat wave that occurs in the autumn.
I live in Southern Louisiana, where every Autumn is an Indian Summer. We don't start getting the cool weather until usually November, if we're lucky. So for this look I wanted to incorporate pinks and coppers to represent that late Summer, almost Fall look where the leaves are just barely turning and the sun's still bright and golden. I used some warm browns to create a haze around the eye in the crease and on the lower lash line. A pop of copper glitter adds
How to achieve this look:
-Apply a primer all over the lid, up to the brow bone
-Blend a matte coral shade into the crease as your transition shade.
-Then apply a rose pigment into the inner and outer corner of the eyes, blending it into the crease. Then apply a touch of pink loose shadow right over top blending the two together.
-Pat a copper pigment right into the center of the eyelid.
-Blend an orange based, matte brown right into the crease on top of your transition shade. Then blend a darker warm, matte brown into the crease making sure there are no harsh edges between the colors. You really want your crease blown out.
-Highlight your brow bone with a satin cream shadow.
-Blend the matte browns underneath the lower lash line, also buffing them out so there's no harsh lines. Then apply a copper glitter into the inner corner of the lower lash line.
-Blend a peachy, gold pigment around the tear ducts and up onto the inner corner of the lid. Then apply a champagne gold right into the center of the tear duct.
-Line the upper lid with a liquid liner, winging it out into a cat eye shape. Then rim your eyes with a black gel liner and set with a black shadow.
