Yesterday I was inspired to do a classic pin up makeup look, but I wanted to add a slight modern twist to the eyes by adding a touch of drama to the lower lash line. This look is extremely easy to achieve and will look beautiful on anyone. I wanted to use all drugstore items in this look to show people that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a truly beautiful look and all the products I used are some of my all time favorite products that I recommend everyone to try out. The star of this look is one of my new favorite eye shadow palettes from the drugstore: L'oreal Colour Riche eye shadow quad in Cupa Joe. It's an all matte quad that has beautiful neutral browns and a nice cream shade in it. This is an amazing palette and if you guys would like, I will do a full review on it for you. As for the rest of the look I kept my skin rather natural and of course applied a bright red lip, because what would be a pin up look without classic red lips? I applied some false lashes to top off the eyes, because I love falsies with a simple eye.
How to get the eyes:
-Apply your favorite primer all over the lids and under the lower lash line.
-Apply the cream color all over the eyelid, from brows to lash line as your base.
-Blend the lightest brown in the palette into your crease. This will be your blending shade.
-Take the mid-tone brown and blend into the crease right under the other shade. Make sure there are no harsh lines between colors.
-Apply the darkest brown right into your socket and outer corner of the lid.
-Take your favorite liquid liner and apply to the upper lash line, creating a cat eye shape.
-Apply a shimmery light shade around the tear ducts and bring onto the inner corner of the upper and lower lash line.
-Blend the mid-tone brown and blend it underneath the lower lash line.
-Taking the darkest brown on an angled brush run it right under the lower lashes, when you reach the inner corner angle the shadow out creating a sort of wing.
-Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
-Then apply your favorite false lashes to the upper lash line blending with your natural lashes.
