Hi loves! Green is a color that I rarely use on my eyes, but I've really been wanting to play around with it more since it does quite compliment my red hair. The other day whilst organizing and cleaning my makeup collection, I took out my collection of Sugarpill loose eyeshadows and set them out so I would use them more. I have quite a few of them that I use all the time, but a couple of the colors do get neglected, so look out for some more looks using those colors coming up soon.
I have to say this look was supposed to use the "Tipsy" loose shadow which is more of a minty green, but I accidentally started to apply "Absinthe" which is more of a brighter grass green and I really loved how it looked so I decided to keep going with it. The "Absinthe" shade has a gold sheen running through it so I knew I wanted to use gold with it and Sugarpill's "Goldilux" is absolutely one of my favorites. It's such a shimmery true gold that applies beautifully to the lid. I love the brightness of the two colors, but I wanted to ground the look with some warm, darker browns, so I used Buck from the Naked palette and Lorac's "Espresso" eyeshadow. I also went back and added a little bit of Sugarpill's "Lumi" loose shadow on top of "Absinthe" to give a slight blue sheen and make it a little more subdued than just the bright ass green.
I really love the way this look came out and I got quite a bit of compliments on it. I love that this look uses neutral color but also has a fun pop of color to your look and I totally think this is Summer appropriate!
