Unboxing - Starlooks Starbox April 2014 - "Garden Party"

Hello beautiful makeup junkies. Today I wanted to share with ya'll my April Starbox unboxing!

What it is:  Starbox is a monthly makeup subscription service, created by the makeup line Starlooks, as a way for you to try out their PRO makeup line at a super discounted price. The box costs $15/month and each box usually contains anywhere from 2-5 full-sized Starlooks makeup and beauty products, plus sometimes you get fun little bonus products thrown in (like this month's pack of wildflower seeds). All of Starlooks makeup is cruelty free, which is something I respect about this company. Now unlike a lot of other subscription services, you don't get to customize your box, so everyone usually receives the same products but if for some reason there is a box that HAS to have customization Starlooks will send you an email at the beginning of that month. At the beginning of each month you will receive a hint of what will be coming in that month's box, but Starlooks likes for your box to be surprise so you won't know for sure what you get until you receive your box in the mail (or you peek at other people's blog posts or videos lol).

This Month's Box: This month's theme, which I found on their website, is "Garden Party" and it included a 5-pan eyeshadow palette in "Tokyo", a shimmery pink lipgloss in the shade "Climax" (there were 3 different lip glosses that you could have received), and a pack of wildflower seeds as a bonus gift so you can start your own garden. 

Starlooks 5 Shade Shadow Palette "Tokyo"

^These palettes contain color variations of our brilliant matte, sparkle and satin shadows specifically themed by Starlooks Pro-artists! Shadows in these 5 shade palettes are unique and not available individually. Each palette combination contains a base color, corner/crease color, contour color, liner color, and each is specifically chosen to deliver a complete spectrum for ultimate daily or nightly use!

-This is my second eyeshadow palette I have received from Starlooks and I do really like their shadows, but one thing that really bugged me about this palette is that each of the shadows have a little groove next to them so you can depot them. So I figured that since they had those the palette must be magnetic so you can change out the shades- NO, I popped one of the shadows out just to find out that they were glued in there, not magnetized, so now I have a loose shadow that wants to fall out all the time but I guess that's my fault not theirs. Other than that I do like these shadows and the color combination is nice for Spring. I've only gotten to swatch the shadows so far, so I can't wait to see how they work and look on my eyes!

Starlooks Lip Gloss "Climax"

Each tinted Lip Gloss comes beautifully packaged in a translucent tube with a doe foot applicator.

-I am super surprised at how much I like this lip gloss, for one I'm not a big fan of lip gloss to begin with, and secondly if I do want to wear a lip gloss I usually always go for a cream finish not one with shimmers or glitters. However, I found this lip gloss to apply smoothly, has awesome color payoff, and the shimmers don't have a gritty feel. This lip gloss in a medium pink color and it has pretty little silver flecks in it. I'm very happy with this gloss and am looking forward to playing around with it some more.

Starlooks Wildflower Mix

^This is Starlook's bonus gift of the month, and I think it is the cutest idea. I was so excited when I opened the box and saw this in there, because my fiance and I were just talking about planting some new flowers out in our garden. so I can't wait to get these babies in the ground!

Overall Thoughts: I am very happy with this month's box. I really love the eyeshadow palette and can't wait to get to play around with it some more, especially the beautiful cranberry shades and the lip gloss is super pretty and nice also. I plan on doing a makeup look using the products I received, so that will be up some time soon.
