Burst Into Bloom - Dramatic Purple Eyes and Nude Lips

Hello all my beautiful makeup junkies out there. Today's look is a dramatic purple eye with pops of glitter and nude lips. A couple days ago, I picked up the new Loreal Infallible eyeshadow shades at the drugstore and I knew that I had to use the two gorgeous purple shades in a look ASAP! I have been a huge fan of the Loreal Infallible shadows, and now own the entire collection. They are definitely one of my all time favorite drugstore eyeshadows; they are so smooth, creamy, and uber-pigmented! So the eyeshadows "Burst into Bloom" and "Purple Priority" are the shades that inspired this look; I wanted to create a dramatic winged out purple eye with pops of purple glitter to add a playful touch. I ordered a couple of the old UD Heavy Metal liners from Hautelook, so I used the purple one over my winged liner then added my new fave glitters, the Hard Candy glitter duos, in purple to the inner part of my lower lash line. The eyes are super colorful and fun, so I kept the lips very nude and the skin matte and simple looking. I think this look is super fun and I love how the glitter really adds an extra playful effect to the eyes. I am in love with purple smokey eyes in the Spring, and these type of looks are my go-to for nights out in the warmer months. I really love how bright and intense the eyes are, but because of the lips and the skin are simpler and all very neutral, it makes it a little more wearable. That would be my number 1 tip for if you want to do colorful or dramatic eyes; keep the lips and face more simple, using neutral colors to balance everything out. Anyway, I really love how this look came together and I hope you all do too. How To: EYES
-Apply your favorite eye primer or base all over your lids and underneath the lower lash line. You can also apply a piece of tape to the outer edge of your eye to create a sharp edge, or you can just use a makeup wipe instead.
-Apply a matte cream shadow under the brow to highlight. Then, blend a matte light/medium rose-toned shadow into the crease to act as your blending/transition shade.
-Taking the Loreal "Burst Into Bloom" Infallible eyeshadow on a flat shader brush, apply to your entire lid.
-On a smaller blending brush, blend the "Purple Priority" Infallible shadow into the crease and outer corner of the lid. You want to focus this color right into your socket and not bring it up too high.
-Use a matte medium purple shadow to blend out the crease colors.
-Apply "Burst Into Bloom" to the inner half of the lower lash line, then apply "Purple Priority" to the outer half making sure to blend the line between them so they flow nicely.
-Add a shimmery light pink shadow around the tear ducts to brighten the eyes.
-Apply black liquid or gel liner to your upper lash line, creating a little wing at the outer edges. Then apply a purple glitter right over top of the liner.
-Apply more purple glitter to the inner part of your lower lash line. I used a lighter purple glitter liner for the lid, then used a deeper loose glitter on the lower lash line.
-Curl your eyelashes and apply a few coats of mascara to your top and bottom lashes. Rim your eyes with black liner to finish off the look.

How To: FACE, LIPS, BROWS
-Apply your favorite foundation primer all over your face.
-Buff a medium coverage foundation all over your face, making sure to blend down to your neck so there are no lines.
-Apply concealer under your eyes and on any blemishes or redness.
-Set your under eye area, and down the center of your face, with a pale powder. Then, set the rest of your face with a powder that matches your foundation. For this look, I kept everything pretty matte and easy. I didn't want to use a ton of products, but I still wanted my skin to look flawless.
-Apply your fave bronzer to your cheekbones and around the outer edges of your face to warm up your complexion and help shape the face.
-Use a darker, matte powder to contour under your cheekbones.
-Fill in your brows like you normally would. Since the eyes are so dramatic, you want to fill your brows in to help balance the look out.
-Apply a light nude lipstick to your lips and top it with a nude gloss to create a fuller, glossy lip. This lip combo (MAC Myth and Rimmel's Nude Eclipse) has become my favorite nude lip combo lately.
