New Years Eve look #2: Black Glittery Cat Eyes

Hey guys! So it's the day before New Year's Eve and if you're anything like me, you're still trying to find the perfect makeup to wear. Today's look is a super dramatic, black glittery cat eye with a reddish brown crease, flawless bronzed skin, and a super nude lip. I'm really sad that the pictures here don't do this look any justice. The entire lid is covered in black glitter that gives off the coolest effect when the light hits your eyes. I wanted to do a look that was dramatic and fun, but could be worn with a multitude of looks. So if you want to see how to get this look for yourself, keep on reading and I will also link below the other NYE look I did, which is a glittery silver smoky eye.

How To: EYES
-Add a piece of tape to the outer corner of your eyes to ensure that you get that perfect edge to your look. Apply your favorite eye primer all over your lids and underneath the lower lash line, then add a sticky black base right onto your lid- staying under your crease and winging it up at the outer edges.
-Highlight under your brows with a satin or matte cream shadow.
-On a large blending brush, fluff a matte light peach shadow into your upper crease to act as your transition shade. I also took a very warm toned, matte light brown and added it right on top and blended the two together.
-Take a medium matte, warm brown shadow and blend right underneath the transition shade. Make sure to blend well, so that the colors blend together nicely.
-Take the darkest matte black you have and pat it right on top of the black base you layed down first. Make sure to blend that color up at the outer corners and also blend around the edges so there's no harsh line between the lid and crease colors.
-On a small blending brush, take a matte deep brown shadow with a red undertone and apply it right into your crease above the black shadow. You also want to run this shadow underneath your lower lash line, staying right under the lashes.
-Apply your glitter adhesive all over the lid, then add a black glitter right on top.
-Highlight around the tear ducts with a light shimmery shadow to brighten up the eyes.
-Rim your eyes with a black kohl liner and add lots of mascara to your top and bottom lashes. You can add falsies to this look to make it even more dramatic.

How To: FACE
-Apply an illuminating primer all over your face to brighten your skin and ensure that your foundation lasts all night.
-Using a damp sponge, apply a full coverage foundation onto your face. Using the damp sponge will allow you to have a more natural finish to your foundation, while still having great coverage.
-Add a concealer that's 1-2 shades lighter than your foundation under your eyes and anywhere else you want to highlight. Since the eyes are so dark and dramatic, you really want to make sure under your eyes is bright so you don't look tired.
-Set your entire face with powder, to take down shine and make your foundation last. I used a very light powder to set my concealer, to further enhance the highlighting I did. Then I used a powder that matches my skin to set the rest of my foundation.
-Apply a shimmery bronzer to your cheeks and around your hairline. You want your skin to look glowing a sun kissed, so using a shimmery bronzer instead of a blush will really help do that.
-Use a matte bronzer to contour under your cheek bones, temples, under your jaw, and down the sides of your nose. Since this look is so dramatic, I wanted a very distinct contour to go with it.
-Add a shimmery highlighting powder to the tops of your cheek bones, you can also add it to your cupid's bow, down the bridge of your nose, and anywhere else you want to highlight.
-Fill in your brows like you normally do. You really want to make sure your brows are defined, so they don't get lost in the rest of your look.
-Apply a nude lipstick to your lips and top it off with a nude gloss for some shine.
-Set everything with a makeup setting spray to take down the look of powder on your skin and to help your makeup last through the fireworks and kissing!

Thanks for reading and I hope you all like this look. I hope you all have a safe and happy New Years and I can't wait to talk to you all again next year!!

Bombshell New Year's Eve Makeup: Super Glittery Silver and Black Eyes!!

Hey guys! Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, I know I sure did and I'm super excited to be back today with a fun, super sparkly New Year's Eve look. For my first NYE look, I wanted to do a classic silver and black smoky eye, but with a whole bunch of glitter. So that's how this look came to be. Since the eyes are the main focus of this look, I kept the rest of the face neutral. I used a full coverage foundation to get a flawless look to my skin and added some glossy nude-pink lips to pull everything together. Looking back on this look, though, I really think a cherry red lip would look sick, so if I could go back and change anything that would be it! So if you're interested in seeing how to achieve this look for yourself just keep on reading!

How To: EYES
-Apply your favorite all over your lid and underneath your lower lash line. Then apply a silver base to your lids only.
-On a large fluffy brush, blend a light matte brown shadow into your upper crease to act as your transition/blending shadow. This color will help the crease blend out better and help ground the look. You also want to run this shadow right underneath the lower lash line, from the inner to the outer corner.
-Highlight the brow bone with a matte cream shadow. You want your transition shadow and your brow highlight to be matte, since the rest of the look is very shimmery.
-Apply a sparkly silver shadow to the inner 3/4 of the lid. You want to bring this shadow up into the crease a bit.
-On a small blending brush, blend a shimmery black shadow into the outer corner and up into the crease. Make sure you focus the intensity of the shadow in the outer corner, then fade it into your crease. Run a little bit of this shadow into the outer corner of the lower lash line.
-Add a glitter base everywhere you applied the silver shadow, around the tear ducts, and the inner corner of the lower lash line. Then add lots of silver glitter right on top. I also used a silver glitter liner to add more sparkle in certain places.
-Use a makeup wipe to clean up any fall out and to sharpen up the outer corner.
-Rim your eyes with a deep black eye pencil.
-Curl your lashes and apply mascara. Then add false lashes on top for added drama!

How To: FACE

-Buff a full coverage foundation all over your face and blend down onto your neck. You want to use a foundation with little to no SPF in it, to minimize your risk of flash back from all those pictures you're going to take.
-Apply a brightening concealer underneath your eyes in a triangle shape, then blend it in.
-Set your foundation with powder to take down the shine, then set under your eyes with a lighter powder to further enhance the brightness.
-Use a matte bronzer to contour and shape your face. Since this is a dramatic, night time look I wanted to have a dramatic contour as well.
-Add a matte pink blush to the backs of your cheek bones and blend out.
-Apply a shimmery highlighting powder anywhere you want to highlight. I used a ton of highlighter, because hello it's NYE and what better excuse do you need to use shimmer.
-Fill in your brows as usual.
-Add a light pink/nude lipstick to your lips and top it off with a sparkly lip gloss to add some more sparkle and shine.
-Set everything with a makeup setting spray, so you can dance your butt off without having to worry about sweating your makeup off!

Well guys, I hope you all enjoyed this look. I plan on getting one or two more New Year's looks up before Wednesday. Have a great night everyone!

Last Minute Christmas Glamour!

Hey guys! I wanted to hurry up and get this look posted. This look is for all of you last minute-rs who are not quite sure what to do with your makeup on Christmas. I came up with a look using colors that most everyone has, that is neutral but striking, and easy to get. I love the mix of warm browns and golds during the Holidays and during the colder months in general. I paired the warm eyes with a cherry red lips, because come on, it's Christmas! This look is guaranteed to be the talk of your Christmas dinner, so just keep reading to see how you can get this look for yourself!

How To: EYES
-Apply your favorite primer all over your lids and underneath the lower lash line.
-Highlight your brow bone with a matte cream shadow.
-On a fluffy brush, blend a light matte peach shadow into your upper crease to act as your blending shade. This whole look is about having a blown out, blended look by using different shades of warm brown.
-Take a matte light-medium warm brown shadow and blend it into your crease and lightly over your entire lid. Make sure to blend this shade into your previous shade.
-Take a slightly deeper warm matte brown shadow and blend it into your crease and the inner and outer corner of the lids.
-On a small blending brush, take a medium/deep warm brown shadow and repeat the previous step.
-Take a super deep matte brown shade and blend it right into your socket line and into the very outer portion of your inner and outer corner.
-Take a shimmery gold shadow and apply it right into the center of the lids, making sure to blur out the edges so it blends into the browns seamlessly.
-Take a light champagne/gold shadow and apply it to the very center of the gold to add more shine and dimension.
-On your lower lash line, take one of the medium browns and run it from inner to outer corner. You want to blend this shade down as low as you're comfortable with. Then take that darkest brown, and apply it right underneath the lashes.
-Highlight around the tear ducts with that light champagne shadow.
-Use liquid liner to create a cat eye on both lids. Then rim your eyes with a black liner to define them.
-Add lots of mascara to the top and bottom lashes to complete the eyes

*You don't have to use as many shades as me in this look. To cut down on time, you really only need 3 colors: a light/medium matte brown, a dark brown, and a gold shadow.
*This look also looks really great without the liquid liner!
