L'oreal La Lacque & Le Matte: review and swatches

I'm so excited to share with you my thoughts on the new Loreal La Lacque and Le Matte lip colors. I purchased 7 of the 8 colors in this limited edition collection and seriously am debating going and buying the last one because they are that awesome. There are four colors in each collection and while most of the colors are more bold they do have a couple natural shades, so I believe there is a color for everyone. Both formulas are super pigmented, feel amazingly comfortable on the lips, and wear for a great amount of time. I purchased each lip color from Target for $7.99 (U.S. dollars) and feel like they are 100% worth every penny. I was so impressed with how well these lippies performed and how amazingly full coverage and unique were. They are shaped like an over-sized lip pencil, which is great because it gives you precise control over applying them

La Lacque: These are super moisturizing and really look like a lacquer when you apply them to your lips. They go on with super full coverage and have a vinyl-like shine to them. I found they wore for a few hours without needing to be re-applied and actually found that these needed touching up less than the matte version, which normally isn't the case. These felt so comfortable on my lips and I really was amazed with how these look, they're unlike any other lip product I have owned. They stay so shiny and so pigmented, it's absolutely beautiful on the lips

414 "I Lacque You a Lot"- orange with a touch of red

413 "Lacque-onic"- true blue based red

412 "Lacquer-ized"- bright purple fuchsia

411 "Never Lacque-ing"- mid-tone neutral pink

Le Matte: These dry down to a matte finish, yet have a hydrating and comfortable feel to them. They are completely non-drying, but you do want to exfoliate your lips as they emphasize any dry patches you may have. I found that these colors last for a couple hours before having to be reapplied and while they are super pigmented they are still not as full on as the lacquers. Truly are a unique and beautiful matte lip color.

408 "She's So Matte"- corall-y red

409 "Matte for Me"- pink red

404 "Matte-r of Fact"- burgundy maroon

Final Thoughts: I would definitely say that if you see these products in the store, PICK THEM UP! They are limited edition and seriously, they are amazing. If I had to I would recommend getting the La Lacques over the Le Mattes, however they are both super beautiful and unique formulas. I'm really hoping L'oreal makes these permanent and comes out with some more colors, especially more neutral shades. There is one more matte shade in this collection that I do not have, but am thinking of getting. That one is a brown based nude and is not normally my type of color, but I think it would look amazing on most skin types so I want it for my kit. I plan on using these colors in lots of upcoming looks so keep an eye out for that.
