Dive Right In: Blue Eyes and Glowy Skin and Pink Lips (picture heavy post)

Hey everyone, how are ya'll doing today? Today's look I created is all about the fun bright blue eyes and glowy bronzed skin. Lately it seems that all I've been doing is neutral eyes and while I love a good neutral eye I've been craving some  color in my life. So last night as I picked out what shirt I wanted to wear today, I knew I wanted to do blue eye shadow to match the little bit of blue in the cat's eyes on my shirt, but as far as what I wanted the eyes to look I had no idea. So this morning I just started playing around with different eye shadows and palettes and this is what I came up with:

So for the eyes I started by applying a piece of tape at the outer edges of the eyes to create a super sharp line and then I primed the eyes and added a base to help the eye shadows be as vibrant as possible. Then I applied the Loreal Infallible eye shadow in Dive Right in, which is a gorgeous shimmery light blue, all over the first 3/4 of the lid using my finger to get the most color impact. Next, I applied a matte light blue into the crease as a transition color and followed that up by blending a matte turquoise right underneath that in the crease as well also bringing it down into the outer corner and blending it into the shimmery blue. I then took a small blending brush and blended a dark matte blue right into the outer corner and blended it into the crease, but focusing mainly into the outer corner. I then applied black liquid liner onto the lid, not winging it out, then applied a blue glitter liner right on top of the black liner. Next, I applied the dark matte blue onto the outer corner of the lower lash line, the turquoise in the middle, and the shimmery blue in the inner corner blending them together. To finish off the eye shadows I applied a shimmery white NYX Jumbo Pencil into the tear ducts and applied Sugarpill's Lumi loose shadow on top and blended it up onto the upper lid and lower lid. Then I lined the rims of the eyes with a black pencil liner and added lots of black mascara to the upper and bottom lashes.

Now for the face I knew I wanted to have flawless glowy skin with bronzed cheeks and pink lips. So to start off I applied my new favorite primer all over my T-zone and used my Beauty Blender to apply a full coverage, long lasting foundation all over the face and down onto my neck. Using the Beauty Blender allows me to get a more natural, glowy look to my foundation. I then applied a long wearing concealer right under the eyes and set it with the Well Rested powder just to brighten the under eyes even more. Then I lightly powdered the skin with a very natural looking face powder. I contoured and bronzed up my skin using 2 different bronzers to give my skin more dimension and added a matte pink blush right onto the apples of the cheeks. Then I highlighted the high points of my face with a shimmery peachy bronze shade. I then filled in my eyebrows as naturally as possible using a brow pencil and a tiny bit of powder. For the lips I applied a pink Color Whisper and topped it off with a light pink gloss. Then I finished everything off by spraying a makeup setting spray all over the face to ensure everything lasts all day.

This is by far the most fun look I have worn in a long time and normally I am not the biggest wearer of blue eye shadow, but I am definitely going to start because this look really brought the color of my eyes out. Summer's coming to an end and while I wear bright colors all year round and don't normally care, I do love the way colors like this look in the Summer. This eye and skin look just make me look so fresh and fun and it seriously has me in the mood to play around with some more bright colors and break out of the makeup funk I've put myself in lately.

I hope you guys like this look <3
